The Golden Age appeal of late 19th-century Paris is brought to life in a boutique hotel right in the heart of Vienna’s historic centre. Hotel Motto offers a glimpse into the days when France was the queen of the world, in the years of the universal exposition and, at the same time, into the sophistication of modern Viennese lifestyle. For this ambitious hotel, the designer Arkan Zeytinoglu and Bernd Schlacher, the creative mind behind Hotel Motto, has chosen Fir Italia’s taps and mixers, which, with their timeless classy style, now complement the bathrooms of its 83 rooms and 8 suites.
Staying at Hotel Motto is like stepping into a world of pure elegance, where everything is imbued with art and beauty. Guests are taken on a real journey back in time: a fairy-tale setting decorated with floral fabrics on the walls, elegant mirrors and magnificent chandeliers, alternating with the clean, minimalist lines of ultra- modern furnishings.
The product choice
Two different collections by Fir Italia were Xed for the project: Melrose 21 and Melrose 22, in the Ancient Brass finishing.
With their prestige, classic furnishing items take centre stage, and thus the bathroom becomes the star of the impressive show staged at Hotel Motto. In particular, the following we chosen: three-hole washbasin taps, shower heads with thermostatic mixer, floor-mounted bath mixer with legs – to be installed in the middle of the room – as well as a Xion of bathroom accessories including paper holder, spare paper holder, wall-mounted magnifying, adjustable cosmetic/shaving mirror, soap holder basket for shower, and towel heating rails.
Melrose collections
Melrose 21 is a tribute to the optimistic and positive atmosphere of the Belle Époque: the harmonious and solid design is reminiscent of the luxury and splendour of that period, which was one of the most prosperous not only for art, music and literature but also for science and technology. Melrose 22 is more understated, clearly inspired by classical style while also featuring modern lines, with cross-shaped handles and spouts with a rounded shape, which combine the Parisian soul of this place with the aesthetics of contemporary luxury.

Ancient Brass finishing
Ancient Brass takes traditional brass to a higher level and allows it to shake off its commonly perceived identity as the poor man’s gold, offering an original, distinctive matt, brushed colour that effortlessly meets both bold and more sober tastes.
