The project

Interconnecting spaces interspersed with exposed beams are the RS HOUSE leitmotif, a former washhouse of a characteristic building in the heart of Rome coveted Garbatella district, which has been transformed into a 75 square metre flat with an architectural conformation characterised by customised elements designed for this purpose.

The distinctive elements of the flat

The trapezoidal-shaped lift shaft is completely clad in a warm colour contrasting with the milk-white exposed beam; the open unit, consisting of shaped shelves towards the kitchen, turns the corner connecting with the wardrobes for the sleeping area.

The light

The light

As you move around the trapezium and follow the conformation of the floor plan, you reach the bedroom, where the lighting brings into focus the open walk-in wardrobe made entirely of oak, curtained on one side by a large window that creates a screen for the master bedroom with no access door.

The choice of taps and fittings: Cleo 84

In the bathroom, Cleo 84 taps with a very basic, minimalist cylindrical design were chosen to match the particularly material choice of wall tiles, which stand out with their geometric relief motifs.

A finishing reminiscent of matter: Light Sand

Tone on tone is also the chromatic effect created between the tiles, reminiscent of sand and tuff, and the taps and mixers, chosen for both the washbasin and the shower configuration in the Light Sand finishing, a clear reference to nature.

Custom-made solutions

The kitchen, also custom-designed, follows the conformation of the beams and pushes towards the large window from which a 180-degree view of the city can be enjoyed. A worktop and snack area clad in Calacatta marble create a dividing wall with the dining area. A single-lever mixer tap from the Cleo 84 collection was chosen for the sink area, again with pull-out spray, a particularly practical element facilitating everyday tasks such as filling containers or cleaning the sink basins.
